Terms of use

Binary Moon is distributed through the App Store and governed primarily by Apple's Standard EULA. This page lists the parts specific to Binary Moon.

License

When you purchase Binary Moon through the App Store, you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices associated with your Apple ID, subject to Apple's Family Sharing rules.

What you can do

Use Binary Moon to make music. Record audio produced by the app, perform with it, release the music you make with it commercially or non-commercially — it's your music. No additional royalty or attribution is required, though we appreciate being credited as the instrument when you do.

What you can't do

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Redistribute the app or any of its bundled assets (wavetables, factory scenes, sample content, fonts) as part of another product.
  • Use the app's name, logo, or screenshots in a way that implies endorsement of an unrelated product.
  • Circumvent Apple's licence enforcement or share your copy of the app with people outside your Family Sharing group.

Refunds

Refunds are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store's standard refund flow. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no control over Apple's refund decisions.

Updates

All updates to Binary Moon are currently free under your existing licence — feature additions, bug fixes, and ongoing maintenance. Our intent today is to keep it that way for the lifetime of this version, including future major releases we ship as updates.

If circumstances change and a future major version is released as a separate paid product, we'll announce that clearly in advance and the version you originally purchased will continue to work on supported iOS releases. You'll never be forced to pay to keep using what you bought.

No warranty

Binary Moon is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do our best to ship working software, but we cannot guarantee the app is bug-free or suitable for any specific use.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conopa and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Binary Moon, including but not limited to lost music, lost time, or damage to your audio equipment. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Conopa is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Apple's Standard EULA terms regarding consumer protection law in your country of residence take precedence where they conflict with this section.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, the updated version is posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date. Material changes that affect your existing licence will be flagged in the app's release notes for the update that introduces them.
